Ward 13 Councillor seeks third term, with a vision centred on equity, affordable housing, and infrastructure for all residents

OTTAWA — Rawlson King officially registered as a candidate for re-election in the 2026 municipal election on May 14, 2026, confirming his intention to seek a third term representing the residents of Rideau-Rockcliffe (Ward 13).
"Serving Ward 13 is a responsibility I hold with great pride, and I am more energized than ever to continue advocating for the neighbourhoods we call home. We have accomplished a lot together, and I am eager to keep that momentum going at City Hall."
First elected in 2019 in a historic by-election, King has represented Rideau-Rockcliffe at Ottawa City Hall for more than seven years and has been a consistent voice for the diverse communities that make up Ward 13.
King has indicated that his vision for the next term will focus on advancing equity, building affordable housing, and pursuing infrastructure investments that benefit all residents of Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward. He will be sharing further details with constituents in the coming weeks.
